The All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders of Obinagu Uwani Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State have unanimously endorsed Mr. Paul Nwodo as the authentic and consensus APC councillorship aspirant for the area, describing his emergence as the collective decision of the people across party lines.

The stakeholders, comprising community leaders, party faithful, youths and opinion moulders, dismissed as false and misleading a recent publication, allegedly, claiming that one Emmanuel Uchenna Chukwu was the consensus candidate of the community. They described the report as fake news sponsored by “skeletal moles” within the APC allegedly working for the former Minister and “sacked certificate forger now parading himself in the divided and doomed PDP.”

According to the stakeholders, the publication was a desperate attempt to create confusion, mislead members of the public and destabilize the unity already existing within the APC structure in Obinagu Uwani Akpugo.

Speaking during a meeting held in the community, the stakeholders insisted that Paul Nwodo remains the widely accepted choice of the people due to his grassroots appeal, accessibility, leadership qualities and commitment to the development of the ward.

“We want to make it categorically clear that Paul Nwodo is the consensus choice of Obinagu Uwani Akpugo. The people have spoken with one voice and nobody can rewrite that decision through propaganda and fake publications,” one of the stakeholders stated.

The group further warned that anti-party activities and betrayal by individuals allegedly working against the APC in favour of opposition interests would no longer be tolerated within the party.

“These skeletal moles parading themselves in APC while working for enemies of the party must desist from such acts. APC in Obinagu Uwani Akpugo is united and fully behind Paul Nwodo,” they added.

The stakeholders therefore called on party members, supporters and residents of the community to rally around the popular choice and support Paul Nwodo to ensure quality representation, good governance and continued progress in the area.

They reaffirmed their total commitment to the APC and expressed confidence that the party would emerge stronger and more united ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
