The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rolled out its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for primaries and the pricing of nomination forms.

In the document endorsed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, sales of expression of interest and nomination forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms is fixed for May 4.

The schedule shows that the presidential primary will take place between May 15 and 16. Primaries for the House of Representatives are set for May 18, Senate on May 20, State Houses of Assembly on May 21, and governorship on May 23. Appeals arising from the exercises will be handled between May 18 and May 25.

The party placed the total cost of presidential forms at N100 million—N30 million for expression of interest and N70 million for nomination. Governorship aspirants are to pay N50 million, comprising N10 million and N40 million respectively.

For other positions, Senate forms cost N20 million, House of Representatives N10 million, and State House of Assembly N6 million.

APC added that women, youths, and persons with disabilities will only pay for the expression of interest form and 50 per cent of the nomination fee.

However, the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) and Transparency International Nigeria have faulted the high fees, warning that they could limit participation and deepen the monetisation of politics.

CISLAC Executive Director, Auwal Musa Rafsanjani, cautioned that such costs may sideline capable but less affluent aspirants and increase the risk of corruption, urging political parties to review and reduce nomination fees to encourage broader inclusion.
