The Enugu Campus Hackathon will reach its climax on Friday, February 20, 2026, as finalist teams converge at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu, for the Grand Finale of the state’s flagship student innovation programme.
The event, scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. (WAT), will bring together student innovators, technology leaders, policymakers, investors and ecosystem partners to celebrate creativity, problem-solving and the future of innovation in Enugu State.
After months of intensive collaboration, mentoring and rigorous problem-solving, selected finalist teams will pitch technology-driven solutions designed to address real-world challenges across key sectors. Organisers say the finale will demonstrate that Nigeria’s next generation of tech talent is already delivering practical and scalable ideas.
Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, said the hackathon aligns with the state’s commitment to building a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
“Our goal is simple: to build an Enugu where ideas thrive, talent is empowered, and innovation drives shared prosperity,” the governor stated.
The Enugu Campus Hackathon is designed to connect students with opportunities, encourage startup culture and position Enugu as a rising technology hub in the South-East and beyond.
Members of the public and stakeholders interested in attending the grand finale are encouraged to register online at https://enugucampushackathon.ng/finale.
The organisers describe the event as a defining moment where ideas move from concept to impact, reinforcing Enugu’s growing reputation as a centre for youth-driven innovation and technology development.
