The Day Tomorrow Is Here Movement Grounded Enugu North LGA

...Speaker, Others Solidarise, Laud Gov. Mbah’s Transformative Leadership

Enugu North Local Government Area witnessed a massive political gathering on February 12, 2026, as the foremost support group of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Tomorrow Is Here Movement (THM) inaugurated its ward and local government coordinators in the council area.

The event attracted a mammoth crowd of supporters and featured a comprehensive dissemination of Governor Mbah’s achievements and developmental strides across Enugu State as momentum builds toward the 2027 general elections.

A major highlight of the occasion was a solidarity visit by

Members of the Association of Traditional Medicine Practitioners led by Chief Nwawomitakwu Animaraeze, The Hausa Community in Enugu State led by Alhaji Abubakar Danladi

The Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Uche Ugwu.

They unanimously commended Governor Mbah’s performance in office and declared support for his second-term bid, describing it as non-negotiable.

In his remarks, the Speaker lauded Governor Mbah’s leadership style, describing his administration’s achievements as unprecedented in the state’s history.

“Tomorrow Is Here Movement is now everywhere in the state, especially at the grassroots. The movement is a moving train delivering timely and factual messages about Governor Mbah’s sterling performance ahead of the 2027 elections,” he stated.

He further commended the Movement’s dedication to promoting the administration’s infrastructural and human capital development initiatives.

In his address, the President of THM, Hon. Tony Okonkwo, expressed gratitude to the people of Enugu North LGA for their massive turnout and support, assuring them that greater accomplishments lie ahead.

He highlighted several achievements of the administration, including:

Construction and rehabilitation of abandoned and dilapidated roads, establishment of an asphalt production plant, revitalization of moribund state assets, Job creation initiatives, construction of smart schools and hospitals across the 260 wards, construction of ultra-modern bus terminals and other numerous people-oriented infrastructural projects across the state.

The Chairman of Enugu North LGA, Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, praised Governor Mbah for ongoing and completed projects, stating that the council had adopted the Movement and would intensify grassroots mobilization.

Also speaking, Hon. Johnson Ani, Member representing Enugu North State Constituency, commended the Governor’s leadership, which he said has accelerated development across all sectors.

In furtherance of promoting the Governor’s achievements, Hon. Nkiru Ugwuagu, Deputy Chairman of Ezeagu LGA and Director of Finance of THM, engaged participants in a question-and-answer session to assess their awareness of the administration’s accomplishments, after which they were rewarded with tokens. 

The Enugu State President of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Mr. Udoagha Ani, also applauded the administration for what he described as uncommon human and infrastructural development.

The event climaxed with the formal inauguration of the local government and ward coordinators of the Tomorrow Is Here Movement, which was greeted with resounding applause from the enthusiastic crowd.
