The frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Chief Samson Chukwu Nnamani popularly known as ODERA, on Saturday held a strategic meeting with his supporters in Enugu metropolis ahead of tomorrow’s governorship primary election.

The meeting, which drew supporters and party faithful from the 260 political wards across the state, was aimed at galvanizing support and mobilizing delegates and stakeholders for the crucial primary election.

Addressing the gathering, Nnamani urged his supporters to come out en masse and participate actively in the electoral process by casting their votes peacefully and responsibly.

He assured them that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alongside adequate security personnel, would be present at designated venues to monitor and ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Speaking at the meeting, a stakeholder of PDP from Nsukka LGA, Hon. Francis Ugwoke, dismissed reports of the purported suspension of Chief Samson Nnamani from the party, describing the development as “shameful and misleading.”

According to him, those behind the alleged suspension are “miscreants who infiltrated the PDP after being frustrated out of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

He maintained that the alleged plot to destabilize the party in the state was “dead on arrival,” urging supporters of Nnamani to remain focused and united ahead of the primary election.

The atmosphere at the meeting was marked by enthusiasm, as supporters chanted solidarity songs and expressed confidence in the aspirant’s chances at the poll.

Some party stakeholders who spoke during the meeting pledged to mobilize massively for the election in their respective wards, assuring Nnamani of overwhelming support across the state.

The PDP governorship primary election is expected to hold tomorrow, 24th of May, 2026 amid heightened political activities across Enugu State.
