Born on this day in 1961, Sir Oha has spent decades building a reputation as one of the country’s most respected public servants and educational leaders.

A retired Permanent Secretary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sir Oha’s career in public service is a testament to the transformative impact of leadership rooted in humility and integrity. Throughout his time in the civil service, he carried out his duties with unmatched professionalism and a deep love for his country. His service included leadership roles in the Federal Ministry of Power, the Federal Capital Territory Administration, and the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development - positions that required both sharp administrative skills and profound commitment to national development.

Before rising to these national appointments, Sir Chinyeaka Oha was already a pillar of excellence at the state level. He served as Accountant General of Enugu State between 1999 and 2006, where his financial stewardship helped set a strong foundation for fiscal responsibility in the state. He went on to serve as Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture in 2006–2007, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to diverse facets of public service.

At the inauguration of the new council, stakeholders were reminded that education is the strongest weapon to fight poverty - a philosophy that resonates deeply with Sir Oha’s belief in empowerment through learning.
