The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reconstituted the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as chairman.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was earlier named to head the committee, has been reassigned to serve as treasurer following the leadership shake-up.
The ruling party also expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 in a move aimed at broadening participation and accommodating more party stakeholders.
Among the newly added members is Senator Barry Mpigi, alongside other prominent chieftains of the APC.
According to the party, the reconstitution forms part of a revised structure for the 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee and was undertaken to address zoning considerations and other strategic exigencies ahead of the planned national convention.
