The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Samson Chukwu Nnamani, has reaffirmed his commitment to policies that promote child welfare, quality education, and youth development as Nigeria marks the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday, Nnamani described children as the foundation of the state’s future and stressed the need for sustained investment in education, healthcare, and opportunities that would enable young people to reach their full potential.
According to him, building a prosperous Enugu requires deliberate policies that protect children, improve learning conditions, and create an environment where every child can grow in safety and dignity.
“Children remain the pride of our society and the hope of a better tomorrow. We must continue to invest in their education, wellbeing, and development to secure the future of our state,” he stated.
Nnamani encouraged children across the state to remain focused on their dreams and aspirations, assuring them that their future would remain a priority under his vision for Enugu State.
He also pledged support for initiatives aimed at expanding educational opportunities, strengthening child development programs, and empowering young people with the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
The PDP candidate concluded by wishing children across the state a peaceful, joyful, and memorable Children’s Day celebration.
