Enugu, Nigeria - Engr. Barr. Steve Avah has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of his esteemed brother in-law, Barr. Obiora Dom Nwobodo.

Barr. Obiora, a native of Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, served as the Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nkanu West LGA. A respected lawyer, he worked with the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Abuja, until his death.

He passed away on Saturday, 15th November 2025. His burial is scheduled for Friday, 5th December 2025.

In a statement mourning his loss, Engr. Avah described Barr. Obiora as a “gentle and principled soul whose dedication to public service and professional excellence will always be remembered.” He prayed that his soul may rest peacefully in the bosom of God.

Family, friends, and associates have joined in mourning the late Barr. Obiora, commending his unwavering commitment to the development of Nkanu West and his exemplary service in both the legal profession and public administration.
